Personality
Emotional Openness (Big Five Facet)
How aware of and in touch with emotions you are.
About this test
This facet reflects how intensely you feel emotions and how aware you are of them in yourself and others. It is one of the 30 facets of the Big Five model and describes a personality tendency (from the Openness domain) — how you generally are — not a clinical diagnosis. Each score simply shows where you tend to sit; there is no good or bad result.

About this questionnaire
The Emotionality is a freely available screening questionnaire. We present it exactly as published and add a plain-language explanation of your result.
It is for education and self-reflection, not a diagnosis — a score is a snapshot, not a label. If your result worries you, talk to a qualified professional. See how we choose and check our tests and our editorial standards.

Frequently asked questions
How is this scored?
Your four answers (each 1 to 5) are added up, with reverse-worded items flipped, for a total from 4 to 20. A higher score means more of the trait. There is no good or bad score — it shows where you tend to sit.
Is this a diagnosis?
No. It measures a normal personality tendency from the Big Five model, not a mental-health condition.
Can I use it for free?
Yes. The items come from the public-domain International Personality Item Pool, which is free to use for any purpose with the source credited.
