How we choose and present tests

How Reflenta chooses tests, writes explanations, and scores results — so you can trust what you see.

Which tests we include

We publish only validated, freely available screening instruments that are in the public domain or explicitly free to use. Our sources are primary and authoritative: the PHQ family and GAD-7 (released free by Pfizer), the AUDIT and ASRS (World Health Organization), the PCL-5 and PC-PTSD-5 (U.S. National Center for PTSD), the International Personality Item Pool, and the original published papers of each instrument. We do not use proprietary tests that require a licence.

How we present them

We reproduce the questions of each instrument faithfully, without altering the items, so the screen stays valid. We write our own plain-language descriptions, score meanings and FAQs, and we name the original source on every test page. Scoring follows the thresholds published by the instrument's authors.

What a result is — and is not

Every test here is an educational screening, not a diagnosis. A score can indicate whether a fuller conversation with a qualified professional makes sense; it cannot replace a clinical assessment. Where an instrument includes an item about self-harm, we flag it and point to crisis support.

Updates

We review instruments against their original published versions and update wording, sources and score bands when needed. If you spot an error, please contact us.
