Anxiety
Anxiety Sensitivity Index-3 (ASI-3)
Three results: fear of the physical, mental and social signs of anxiety.
About this test
Anxiety sensitivity is the fear of the feelings that anxiety itself creates — a racing heart, trouble concentrating, or blushing in public — because you believe they are harmful. It is a well-studied risk factor for panic and anxiety problems. This test gives three separate results: fear of physical sensations, of mental sensations, and of others noticing.
About this questionnaire
The ASI-3 is a freely available screening questionnaire. We present it exactly as published and add a plain-language explanation of your result.
It is for education and self-reflection, not a diagnosis — a score is a snapshot, not a label. If your result worries you, talk to a qualified professional. See how we choose and check our tests and our editorial standards.

Frequently asked questions
What does this test measure?
Not anxiety itself, but how much you fear the sensations anxiety produces — for example a fast heartbeat or trouble concentrating. High fear of these signs can make anxiety worse.
Is it free to use?
Yes, the ASI-3 is free for research and educational use, and we credit the authors.
